Penghana’s self-contained apartment is a comfortable ground floor suite at the rear of the house, suitable for up to 4 adults, or a family of 2 adults and up to 4 children. We welcome children of all ages and cater to infants with a portable cot, highchair and children’s dinnerware.
It is ideal for guests who don’t want to use the stairs to our ensuite bedrooms in the main house.
The apartment is well appointed, has good water pressure and heating in the open plan area, and is ideal for relaxing after a day of adventure hiking, walking, rafting, driving or sight seeing in Tasmania’s Western Wilderness. There is fast WiFi and Netflix available on the flat screen TV.
It has a separate entrance, undercover parking with an area for drying hiking gear, open plan kitchen/dining/living space and its own laundry, two bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with two king singles). A sofa bed in the lounge area provides additional sleeping space. The bathroom has a spacious, easy access shower. There is a separate toilet.
The kitchenette has full size fridge, bench-top oven with hot plates, microwave, sandwich maker, stick blender/mixer, plunger coffee, rice cooker, chopsticks and eggcups.
Electric blankets, micro flannel sheets, wool doonas, plenty of towels and bath robes are provided. While the apartment does not offer a spectacular view, it does offer peace and quite, with no road traffic noise.
Our garden space, BBQ facilities, recreational room, licensed bar in the main house are also accessible to residents.
There is a portable shower stool and raised toilet seat, but the space does NOT have complete disability/wheelchair access and because of its Heritage status, cannot be altered. Mobility to negotiate ‘two only’ steps is needed.
