The Owen and VIP Suites have panoramic views towards Queenstown and Mount Owen.

No, sorry, we cannot accommodate pets. Assistance animals such as guide dogs are welcome.

Penghana has ample safe, free onsite parking and undercover space to safely accommodate motorbikes and bicycles.

We have added a secure storage and work area for mountain bikes.

We require a valid credit card to confirm your booking, but we don’t charge it until you booking is completed and you check out.

There are three flights of stairs to reach our main suites, which may be a problem for those with mobility issues. Even our ground floor apartment and studio bedsit have a few steps at their entries.

There is a public charging station in the car park which services the Wilderness Railway.  At Penghana we have an outdoor power point available for overnight charging of guests’ electric cars.

If you have booked with us directly and not via a third party or online travel agent (OTA), we will be happy to accommodate your changing needs. We endeavour to be as flexible as possible, subject to other bookings.

No, sorry.  To access Penghana and all it has to offer, you need to be a registered or invited guest (a special accommodation rate is offered for current National Trust members).

Although this property is part of National Trust Tasmania’s portfolio, it isn’t a museum, nor open to the general public.

Penghana is leased for the purpose of operating a Bed and Breakfast business and use as a private residence. So it isn’t appropriate to compromise the privacy or security of paying guests or of our personal space.

We cater for vegetarian and vegan diets for breakfast.

We offer the choice of full cream cow’s milk and soy milk as a matter of course.

If you have other dietary needs or preferences, please feel free to bring your preferred dairy alternatives or other supplies with you.
