DINING OPTIONS IN QUEENSTOWN

We are happy to offer suggestions on where to eat here in Queenstown and elsewhere on the West Coast – just ask when you check in or when calling about your booking.

The following are offered to give you an idea of what is available nearby.

Rich in history, the Empire Hotel has a prominent presence in the Queenstown’s streetscape.Inside, guests are greeted by a beautifully handcrafted blackwood staircase that is admired by visitors from all around the world. The Empire’s restaurant is a dependable choice for dinner, open seven days, and the bar is a good place to meet and mingle with the locals.

Rusty Iron serves up great Thai food. Menu includes vegetarian and vegan options, with spice and chili levels ranging from mild to wild, so they will have something for almost every taste. Fully licensed and open Tuesday-Sunday.

The licensed cafe at Queenstown Station offers meals, snacks and a place to watch the trains come and go. Also offers evening dining on a seasonal basis.

The Linda Cafe is nestled in the Linda Valley beside the Royal Hotel Linda, a short drive from Queenstown. A great spot for lunch, morning or afternoon tea – just check opening hours before you head off.

Mimso Kitchen, located at the Goldrush Motor Inn on Bachelor Street in Queenstown, offers dine-in and takeaways prepared by Thai chef Mim. She serves both western and Chinese/Thai dishes that are popular with locals and visitors alike. Mimso Kitchen is open to dine in or take away Monday to Friday from 5pm, and the menu is on their Facebook page

At Moonscape Wine Bar and Cafe in Orr Street, the lovely Emma and Mark serve Tasmanian wines, supplemented with a selection of mainland and international drops, boutique beers, ciders and their signature cocktails, accompanied by some delicious bar snacks and small meals.
